Why Choose Us

The Mubarak Foods Quality Standard

From hive to jar, every batch is handled with care and tested against strict benchmarks so you always receive honey in its purest, most natural form.

Pure & Natural

Sourced from unpolluted forests, mountains, and rural farmland — zero artificial additives, preservatives, or sweeteners of any kind.

Lab Tested

Every batch is independently tested for moisture content, purity, natural sugar ratios, and HMF levels before leaving our facility.

Certified Quality

Our entire process meets strict food hygiene and safety standards — ensuring you receive traceable, reliable honey every single time.

Cold Processed

Honey is cold-extracted at below 40 °C to preserve live enzymes, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and natural antibacterial properties.

Optimal Moisture

Moisture is carefully controlled below 18% — the golden threshold that prevents fermentation and preserves honey indefinitely.

Zero Adulteration

We never dilute with water, corn syrup, or refined sugar. What is inside the jar is exactly and only what nature produced in the hive.

Honey Science

Did You Know?

Pure natural honey is one of the most remarkable foods on earth. Here are some facts that make it truly extraordinary.

Honey Never Expires

3000-year-old honey discovered in Egyptian tombs was still perfectly edible. Its low moisture, acidic pH, and hydrogen peroxide content make it naturally self-preserving — indefinitely.

Natural Wound Healer

Medical-grade honey (Manuka & Sidr) is used in modern hospitals to treat burns, ulcers, and post-surgical wounds. Its osmotic pressure draws out moisture from bacteria, killing them without antibiotics.

300 Bees Per Jar

A single 500g jar of honey requires approximately 300 bees to fly a combined distance equal to three times around the earth, visiting over 2 million flowers. Every spoonful represents immense natural effort.

Temperature Matters

Heating honey above 40 °C (104 °F) destroys its live enzymes, antioxidants, and antibacterial compounds. This is why cold-processed honey is nutritionally far superior to mass-market heated varieties.

Brix & Moisture Testing

Premium honey reads 79–82° Brix on a refractometer and contains under 18% moisture. Any higher and fermentation begins. Every Mubarak Foods batch is checked with a calibrated refractometer before sealing.

Natural Colour Tells Quality

Honey colour ranges from water-white (Acacia) to near-black (Forest/Buckwheat). Darker honeys generally contain more antioxidants, minerals, and complex flavour compounds than lighter varieties.

Consumer Guide

How to Tell
Pure Honey from Fake

The market is flooded with adulterated honey diluted with sugar syrups, water, or corn fructose. These simple home tests help you verify purity in minutes — no lab required.

All Mubarak Foods honey passes every one of these tests. We welcome you to try.
01
The Water Test

Drop a teaspoon of honey into a glass of water. Pure honey sinks to the bottom and does not dissolve immediately. Adulterated honey disperses or dissolves quickly due to its added water and syrup content.

02
The Flame Test

Dip a matchstick in honey and strike it. Pure honey lights due to its low moisture. If it does not light or burns wet, excess water has been added — a common sign of adulteration.

03
The Blot Test

Drop honey onto blotting paper or a paper towel. Pure honey does not absorb — it stays on the surface. Diluted honey absorbs into the paper within seconds, leaving a wet stain.

04
The Crystallisation

Pure honey crystallises over time — this is a sign of quality, not spoilage. Fake honey does not crystallise because its sugar composition has been altered. Liquid honey after 6 months may be processed.

05
The Thumb Test

Place a small drop on your thumb. Pure honey stays firm and does not spread. Adulterated honey with added water will spread and run off the thumb.

Wellness

Proven Health Benefits of Honey

Backed by centuries of traditional medicine and modern nutritional science — pure honey is far more than a sweetener.

Raw honey raises HDL (good cholesterol) while lowering LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides. Its antioxidant polyphenols — including quercetin, kaempferol, and caffeic acid — reduce oxidative stress in arterial walls, helping prevent atherosclerosis and maintaining healthy blood pressure naturally.

Honey produces hydrogen peroxide as a natural byproduct, which destroys bacteria on contact. Its high osmolarity dehydrates microbial cells. Sidr and Manuka honey additionally contain methylglyoxal (MGO) — a compound with clinically proven activity against drug-resistant bacteria including MRSA.

The prebiotic oligosaccharides in raw honey feed beneficial gut bacteria (Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus), supporting a healthy microbiome. It soothes acid reflux, reduces gastritis symptoms, and has been studied as a natural H. pylori inhibitor when consumed on an empty stomach.

Honey triggers a small insulin spike that allows brain tryptophan to cross the blood-brain barrier, increasing serotonin (mood) and melatonin (sleep) levels. One tablespoon in warm water or milk before bed measurably improves sleep onset, duration, and quality — particularly in children.

Unlike refined sugar, honey's balanced fructose-to-glucose ratio provides dual-phase energy release — immediate glucose for quick fuel and slower-metabolising fructose for sustained endurance. Studies show honey rivals commercial glucose gels for pre-exercise and mid-exercise performance.

Applied topically, honey's humectant properties draw moisture deep into the skin. Its natural AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) gently exfoliate dead skin cells. Regular use brightens complexion, fades scars, reduces acne-causing bacteria, and its antioxidants combat free-radical-driven skin ageing.

Our Process

From Hive to Your Jar

01

Natural Sourcing

Hives are placed in chemical-free zones — remote forests, mountain highlands, and unpolluted rural farmland far from industrial activity or pesticide use.

02

Careful Extraction

Frames are cold-extracted using stainless-steel centrifugal equipment. No heat is applied at any stage, preserving every live enzyme and natural compound.

03

Light Filtration

Honey passes through a coarse mesh to remove wax particles and debris. Fine pollen grains and propolis remain fully intact — they are valuable, not waste.

04

Quality Testing

Each batch is tested with a calibrated refractometer (moisture & Brix), visually graded for colour, and checked for microbial safety before any jar is sealed.

05

Hygienic Packaging

Honey is filled into food-grade glass jars in a controlled-hygiene environment and heat-sealed with tamper-evident caps — aroma, flavour, and freshness locked in.

06

Careful Dispatch

Each order is individually packed with protective padding and dispatched promptly. Cold-chain handling options are available for summer shipping.
